More or less: The hole in the crank journal for lube to get in, needs to be turned downward so you have access. A 16d common nail, not one with a countersunk head, (the head on those is too thick)cut to about 3/4", with the head bent slightlynto one side (because the oil hole is usually not directly straight into the crank, test it in the hole as you prepare for it to be used). Make sure you turn the crankshaft in the direstion that causes the upper insert to be rotated out pushing the locating tab out of its recess, not trying to drag it into the space it should not go in!! As the crank is rotated, the insert rolls out. No problems. JimN
