Hi John. Well, glad to hear you had some progress... the arms moved in one direction anyhow. Yes there is a pressure relief valve in the head. Probably the best thing for you to do is to get a copy from your dealer of the "Farmall Touch Control Service Handbook" GSS1024. It has a trouble shooting section and a parts picture and list. You'll probably need a hydraulic pressure gauge also since part of the trouble shooting calls for it's use. Think I paid $6.00 for the 32 page handbook(about 10 years ago). How are you gauging pressure on the high side? If there is high pressure with a open center system like this when the arms are not lifting some thing, then it could be indicating a problem just like you say, possibly with a stuck pressure reliel valve. Also related to high pressure and arms not moving is a orfice in the head and it could be plugged up. The Handbook tells it's location and how to clean it out. Long spring day today and I can't recall much more on the troubleshooting right now. Pete

Flax provided the fibre which w
