A little heat might help.The trick is to heat the
gear without getting much heat in the shaft. Heat it quick with a big tip in your torch. If you can heat the gear quickly before the heat transfers to the shaft, the gear will expand faster than the shaft and should help it come loose. Dont get
it too hot that it softens the gear. How do you plan to install the bushings? I have never put bushings in but when I put a seal in recently, I had to make a driver for it. I suspect you will need something like a cam bearing installer/bushing driver.
