Also, if you ever want to sell it, you need to find someone who wants a messed up tractor. But, you can do as you please. IH did the same effect with the AV. Replaced 24 inch rears with 36 inch to make a high clearance tractor, and left the gearing alone -- primarily for cultivating tall crops. Probably worked ok for that, I have never driven one. But, looking at the speeds it looks like it only left one decent tillage gear, others were too fast with less power.
