Hi All , It's done ! No rejoicing yet though . I drove it home and the gear noise is not good . I don't really know from which part of the tranny it's coming from . It idles as quiet as a church mouse . In high range the noise is a little less . Coasting is also quiet . Under a load it seams louder so I'm leaning towards differential gears . Zero side to side and about .012 backlash . Just couldn't get them any better than that . I guess if time doesn't help then I'm stuck with a noisy tractor . ...Randy
