Mark, do you have a hydraulic fan drive or PTO ? The air pressure can be adjusted by the slide over the fan. It should be adjusted at the speed you will be using in the field which is why they say at rated speed, when air pressure drops the seeds fall out, over pressure will give doubles,not enough = skips. Drop planter when the hitch pin crosses the inside end row or you will have empty space it takes 10-12 feet before the first seed drops.
