Tomorrow is our first grandson's 2nd birthday. Marg. and I are going to Toronto for the event. We haven't seen him for 6 weeks and I understand his vocabulary has changed from a few words and phrases to full sentences. Last week one morning they were just finishing breakfast when young Munro put on his coat, shoes and cap, standing at the door he anounced he wanted money. Heather asked, "What do you need the money for?" He replied, "Going shopping." She asked, "What are you going shopping for?" He said, "Apples, Cheese, and some other things to eat." Apparently he wanted an apple the night before, and there were none in.
I figured since he's into fruits and vegetables, I might offer him a job garden weeding. He may as well learn the true value of those commodities. Heck, I might even have him driving the tractor by fall.
I did my first grass mowing this year on Fri. It really didn't need to be done, however I had a lot of things apart on the SA this winter, and I wanted to be sure everything was working well after an hour warm up. We had rain Fri. night and yesterday, first in a month and since I applied fertilizer. I expect I'll have some real heavy grass to mow this week, in fact I have more grass now than I had Fri. Around here, grass mowing is almost twice per week in May and June. Anyhow, everything seems to be working fine. About the only thing I found wrong was 1/2" water in my sediment bowl, checked the other tractors, 140 was the same. 130 that I've been running all winter had none. Must be winter condensation. I would have put the first gas back is SA about 8 weeks ago.
