Ours had 25,000+ hours on it when we traded it in, I don't remember Dad ever saying anything about work being done on the hydraulics.
Remember, they don't have big time GPM or pressure like a new tractor does (I think around 15 GPM at 2000 psi or so). Just remember to change the filters once in a while and keep the oil in good condition.
For a haybine and baler it would work great. Ours was used on the baler and chisel plow mostly.
