..for the hundreds of times I have had a fuel boel off of many tractors, you never tighten it down until you open up teh valve and let the bowl fill while air is escaping throught the top , then start tightening..your bowl will be full, no air lock ready to go, wipe off the spillage and ready to fire up...always let the bowl fill first then tighten

The General GG was made by the Cleveland Tractor Company (Cletrac) of Cleveland, Ohio. Originally the company was called the Cleveland Motor Plow Company which began in 1912, then the Cleveland Tractor Company (1917) and finally Cletrac.
