Common problem on a lot of old tractors. What happens is the water runs down off that can down the muffler and then into to manifold where the pipe goes in to it. Then from there into what ever cylinder has an open exhaust valve and then down into the oil. As far as what came out of the carb its a mix of gas and water again from the water getting into a cylinder with and open intake valve. No big deal as long as you changed the oil and have got it running and let it run till it was good an warm so as to dry it out
