My dad is getting into restoring and/or rebuilding older farmall's, and he picked up an old H for parts, and now someone told him they think it is a 1939 instead of the 1940 he thought it was. The serial # is 7099. The list of #'s that I downloaded from someone on the web says its a '39, but he has a book with #'s that says its a '40. Can anyone out there fill us in for sure?? Also, the transmission/rear end cover plate has a dip in it where the seat bolts on, and someone else told him they were only made that way in 39. Thanks! Pam
