Hey Allen or anyone. I have a IH 986. Was wondering how do you check the hydralic fluid in one of these. I know where the stick is and all that but does it have to be running with the lift down, up or what. I checked and filled it when it was not running and it looked full. Then I started it and checked it and it was in the add range. Also there is a little yellow light that comes on the dash and right beside it a red light that looks like a gear with a oil drop in it. I can't read what they are. I feel though that they have something to do with the hydralic fluid. I have a IT book but it does not tell what anything is for or how to check the fluid only how to take the tractor apart. Isn't that crazy. Oh well Any help is appreciated. Thanks alot
