My Farmall 504 D has the codes S-X-Y and I know that one of them is high speed low and reverse. The tractormeter shows 22 as WOT with 12.?x38's. I have 13.8x38's on it and when you let'er rip in 5th TA then slam it to 5th direct is lugs down a bit. But once is winds up 5th, hold on. It scares the SH** :shock: out of me with the worn tie rod ends! The only tractor faster than this F504D that I have ever driven was a JD 401 (Industrial). Dont panic, it was a yellow JD
