questions on tractor I.D.and power steering help

I own what appears to be a 300 farmall tractor it has on its sheet metal the name McCorrmic My friends tell me that it is a 300 but why would it have this other name on it .My neighber gave me apump that he said is a power steering pump for my tractor but I have no idea how or where it goes on this tractor.This tractor is a tricycle type with large drive wheels It looks like a M type.
