I don't believe electric starting was ever an option on the F20 although electric lighting was. I have a 39 F20 my father bought new. It has electric start, but that was put on later by purchasing an after market electric starter kit. The kit included a new bell housing, ring gear, starter, etc. I remember the flyweel had to be removed and cut down to install the ring gear. Thus any F20 with a starter is quite rare as they were all installed with after market kits.
