I need some advice. I have twice now replaced the gasket behind the plate that blocks off the coolant passage at the engine front. This plate also provides the front generator mount. This shouldn't be that hard. It continues to seep coolant. Has anyone else had this problem or found a gasket and sealant combo that worked? Both times I have cleaned the gasket surfaces very well and used a quality gasket sealant. Two brands so far. Just some light pitting on the plate gasket surface, nothing big. This should be easy, but it's fighting me. Maybe I should just use silicone and forget the gasket.
