Blue Smoke is oil burning.Maybe valve guides, maybe rings, maybe both.Black smoke is not enough air,or too much fuel, white smoke is water. If its throwing oil out of the stack you might want to check into whats doing it.Sometimes a diesel will slobber fuel and throw black stuff out,but it doesnt have to burn a lot of oil to do it.A good thing to check if something changes quick on a motor is the air cleaner. Its a long shot, but if the air cleaner would be plugged its possible to make it pull oil in through the valve guides, but not real likely.
