The pulley is a split design with the forward most part able to adjust closer to and farther from the rear 1/2. There is a setscrew in the rib of the front 1/2. Remove this and spray it down with penetrating oil. The hub is usually stuck fairly bad. Work it with a brass punch and modest hammer back and forth. till it frees up. Then loosen it until the belt can be removed. (It is taken over the fan blades one at a time. The belt may need to be twisted to allow it to slip over the tip of the fan blade. Then put the new one on in the reverse direction. Tighten the new one until it has about 3/4" slack when pushed hard with a thumb in the biddle point between pullys. Too tight is deadly for pump bearings. JimN
