If you are pulling competitively a M&W aftermarket governor (if you can find one for a price you will pay) is quicker responding, but not dramatically. Clean, replace worn parts, and it should be OK. (I am not sure of the interchangeability of governors from different engines, H based engines govs may be different enough to give problems. If done wrong, governors can cause safety issues. JimN
