I worked for an International dealer in the late seventies. The original loader brackets for the 74 series tractor with the 2250 loader were two pieces one on the front bolster and one on the spot you mentioned. A service bulletion was released and extra pieces were sent to attach the front bolster to the rear spot. these brackets were welded to the front brackets. I spent two months removing brackets and welding in the brackets for this bulletion. It might have been a recall of some sort. the newer brackets were long brackets joining the two parts of the tractor together. The problem was the tractors were breaking in two.
