I'm curious about the availablity and $$$ of impulse parts 'cause a friend of mine is having impulse problems as well. I gave hime the remains of a mag I had collected somewhere along the way that was stripped down to the rotor and impulse.
Hopefully, that will get him going, otherwise we'll be looking for parts, as well. (His tractor is crank-start.)
I'm GUESSING, even if new impulse parts are to be had, it might be just as cheap to put a distributor on your battery-start tractor. I have several of those on hand, from parts units to a couple of nice complete units, but have no idea what the current market value is on them.
