Ctry Boy: I did laugh, this same bunch of young lads spear headed by our cranking friend, once filled my pipe with dead house flies. The pipe was close to empty, thus they removed the ball of tobacco and ash, put the dead flies on bottom then packed the tobacco and ash on top. All this happened in cab of my pickup while I was talking with another farmer.
Course it kind of backfired on them, upon returning to truck I remembered the pipe was empty, thus I beat it out on the rear view mirror, without even looking. As I started to fill it with fresh tobacco, one of the guys said,"I told you guys we should have put fresh tobacco on top of the flies, then told him what great guys we were filling his pipe for him." That might have fooled me. The reason it may have fooled me is they always gave me a hard time about my driving while filling the pipe.
