Adam Brock said: (quoted from post at 14:10:33 06/24/08) Sorry guys, Yes it does have 4 adjustable casters and it is 3 point hitch. I was thinking of just welding up a mount to use the two lower arms on the mower attached to the drawbar on the 100. The 100 has a single point fast hitch but is off right now.
Adam: I think your idea would work. However, I can foresee two potential problems, to wit: 1) If the front edge of your mower ever hung up on a small stump or something, it could flip the mower and hit you in the back of the head or something - since there would be no top link to stop it from flipping up; 2) Mowers - even finish mowers - seem to have a lot of flat tires. You would want to have your tires foam filled, or make sure you have solid tires that can't puncture, since you would be totally dependent upon your four tires to keep the mower level and at desired height.
I still feel a better idea would be to purchase a 3-point hitch conversion kit from Worksaver, or better yet, get Hugh MacKay here on the forum to sell you a set of his plans to build the ultimate 3-point hitch for your tractor. Best of luck. mike
