There was a post here once where a mechanic was telling the writer that Autolites fired much more easily and consistently, (though I can't recall why) and to prove his point, told him to stick one Champion in the cylinder of his choice where the mechanic wouldn't know where it was, and the mechanic was able to tell him which cylinder, based on only looking at his oscilloscope. FWIW. I've used Champions without any apparent problem, but since I read that post, I switched. For no apparent reason. LOL
