You need to check for voltage on the small terminal when your key is twisted to start or you push a starter button. You may not have voltage at the key or none at the starter button. You may need to trace the feed wire to see if its broken or not making good contact. If your solenoid has 2 small terminals one may be the feed terminal to your switch. The terminal that cranks the engine usually has an S and is only hot ( has voltage) when cranking the engine. Hal PS: I had to replace the solenoid on my tractor it just kept cranking. Cost about $5.00.
