Some ramblings for a mid-Sunday afternoon. I had been on the front stoop cleaning strawberries...took a phone call and wondered what that sound was, headed back out to see a Farmall H pulling an older five or six foot New Holland haybine past the house. Operator was traveling along in, a guess here, second gear and muffler flapper was tapping out a missing sound. Was a good little downpour and maybe the wires got wet??? A nice sound/sight for me anyway. And another red thing - not sighted today, but a beautiful cardinal is happily singing in the sixty or so foot tall silver maples across the road and then from the brush line. Time to nuke the last cup of coffee and clean the last quart of Amish berries - $2.00/quart; 71 degrees. Hope you folks are enjoying your day.
