You may have a 27-28. Those had a round muffler deal that bolted to the rear hood sheet(firewall) and made a 90 deg turn out the left side. They put a lot of heat under the kero tank. The first ones had 2 exhaust pipes that came out the center hood sides and the 29-39 had one pipe that came out the hood side in the lower rear corner. The 29-39 manifolds were made to burn either gas or kero by adjusting 2 baffles and the earlier ones were kero only. If yours gets hot and runs bad, try kero in it.
