Thanks for the offer to haul it away, but I think I`ll pass for right now.
As for the paint, we have a lady up here in the paint dept. at lowes that grew up on tractors and loves a challenge. I found some of the original gray paint under the farm dirt on the inside of one of the frame rails. Was able to chip off a good size piece where the paint was thick.
The lady at Lowes spent an hour playing around with variations of what the paint matching machine came up with until we both aggreed that it looked pretty good. Not sure if it is an exact match to the factory version, but it suits me.
The front end ofcourse is the eye catcher, but those closed tread 40s sure help also. The tractor will also have the optional dip stick, American Boshe FU-4 magneto, and the early flat plate style mounting brackets for the draw bar. Also have the tall breather pipe for it and fenders.
