Yes these 6 bolts will separate the bellhousing from the engine. There are several small pieces that need disconected first. Throttle linkage, fuel lines, electrical, steering shaft, etc. Rent a large engine hoist. Pick up the tractor with the hoist, support the bell housing with a couple cement blocks. Make sure the rear wheels are blocked. Ease the pressure off on the lift so it just supports the engine and bolster. Now loosen up those 6 bolts and separate the tractor about a 1/4". Drop of the lower bell housing guard. Before you go any further make sure the bolster and engine are properly balanced so nothing swings or twists suddenly when its totally unbolted. If you have to tighten up the bolts and reposition the chains. Have a friend on hand for this part to help steady and gently pull it apart. Working on these tractors can be enjoyable as long as your very careful. Good Luck SteveF
