The instructions to remove/re-install this pump were in the archives under B414,434,444 or BD154. If you do decide to remove it yourself, be sure to put scribe marks on the pump and the mounting plate so you re-install the pump in the exact location you removed it from. Timing is adjusted by rotating the pump in the slotted mounting holes and any slight variation in either direction will mess up the timing. If I recall there is a key or pin that goes into the timing gear but on re-install pump can be 180 degrees out of time if the pump shaft has been rotated, so solution is to remove pump and turn shaft in direction of arrow 1 rev and re-install.
I agree with the Vet for this DPA pump take it to a shop as the front drive hub has to come off to replace the seal. On a Bosch pump the seal can be replaced without disassembling the pump.
