That JD may look better than the Farmalls, but then it's a good bit younger, too! And shame on you, Idaho Ron! Get some "make-up" (spray paint :D) for those old girls before you take them out on the town or you'll embarrass them! What would your wife say if you dragged her to Main Street straight from the barn- grease, grime and all- and stood her next to another lady all cleaned up and 20 years younger? I wouldn't be suprised if your tractor quits on you the next time you're the middle of something and far from the house, since it can't run off by itself and divorce you. (lol)
I feel the same way about JDs as Mr. Bob, they're just a little too "uppity", and everywhere you look there's something being marketed with JD on it. Heck, last Christmas I even saw official JD jackets w/the JD emblem on it in PINK!!! (Now we have JD PINK???) I see it as a JD fad, and I never was one to "go with the flow" just because everyone else did. Seriously, though, when I was in college I worked at my uncle's JD dealership (parts dept.), and you could order practically anything for them, all the way to way-back-when, even for kid's bikes and trailers, and get it pretty quickly, so if you depend on them for a living, I can see owning them. But I like to be on the more challenging team, I guess, and I learned on the old family Super A, so it's IH red for me. We also bought a MF 50 later on, but hey, it's still red. And Mr. Bob, as for your Ford- well, it ain't IH red, but at least it ain't green, right?
Hey, that part's all for fun, anyway. You can't have much of a game without "the other team". :)
