With the triple digit heat wave and fires here in Northern California, it has been difficult to get anything done outside. Around 8:00 PM last night the temperature dropped below 95 deg and I made it down to the barn (it was only 110 deg inside). I fired up the swamp cooler and set about adjusting the governor.
Using my trusty service manual once again, I was able to make the necessary adjustments and now have the engine purring nicely at an idle.
My next step will be to hook the Touch Control linkage and get the hydraulics working. Once that is done, I'll run the engine long enough to obtain operating temperature so I can re-torque the head. I can't wait to drive this tractor out of the barn for the first time!
