Probably most had hydraulics, but it was an option that could be deleted when ordering. By the mid 40's I would imagine a very high percentage were so equipped. The "lift-all" system is located behind the clutch and in front of the transmission. On the right side of the tractor, behind the engine, on top of the transmission housing there should be a filler pipe with a cast iron cap on it. There should also be two 1/2" pipe ports coming out of the left side of the tractor, and 1 port on the right side. The control rod should be to the right of the light switch/ammeter box, and connected to a lever on the right side of the tractor below the filler pipe. The tractor probably came with a pump; look underneath to see if there is a lot of empty space behind the bell housing area where the engine connects to the rear portion of the tractor.
