I have baled over 5000 bales a year for the past forty years with an M. Before that I used a Super C, and my father used a C before that. Since 1987 I have used a New Holland 269 with a kicker, hauling a wagon behind, before that it was an IH 45, dropping the bales on the ground. There were a few years that I used a Massey 175, but it always broke down and sent me back to the M. This year I have upgraded to a 560 diesel, and what a difference. The worst problem with the M is no live PTO, and the "armstrong" power steering. Somehow the power unit for that doesn't work as well as it did when I was nineteen.
