I re-checked the serial number list for this forum and the book Farmall Letter Series Tractors by Fay and Kraushaar. Both indicate the serial number 59981 to be 1949. When I do proportional math, I arrive at 17 January 1949 for an approximate manufacture date. I used 22 working days per month. Average production in 1949 was 3475 per month. Without some other source of data, that is as good as any guess.
