When one does that who knows what may or may not have been done to it before you got there. I have seen more then one that locked up, then the guy who owns it put oil back in and let it cool and then it would turn again but the damage had already been done but he did not fill in all the blanks. Sort of like the woman that came into a gas station and said can you get my car running again. Guy asked what was wrong. She told him well the oil light came on and I drove it and then it just stopped running. He said well sorry I can't help you should have stopped when the light came on. She asked why he said because if you had it could have been fixed with a $2 qt. of oil now it needs a $2000 engine
