Rebuildin'the motor on the SuperC about eight years ago, I was sixteen again, bustin' my knuckles and takin' in scents that hadn't crossed my nose since I was a kid gettin' into the guts of my '64 Beetle tryin' to keep it runnin'.
Did a loving restoration of the BN (a family tractor -- the one they tauhgt me to drive on), combinin' everything I could recall from my youthful wrenchin' on wrecks with the experience of the SuperC job. I can't tell you how many years it took me back when the old girl fired on the third pull if the crank. I rode shotgun while my great-grandfather cultivated beans on that tractor startin' from about age five, and got back almost to that point when I sat over on the left while a good friend took her for a spin.
So the age is relative. No offense taken here at all.
