Like El Toro says, 2 gauge isn't nearly big enough for a 6 volt system. 2/0 is much better. NAPA can order just about any size & length you want, but can get expensive. I've made my own using welding cable and solder on lugs. Crimp or stake the lugs first, then fill them full of solder. I also like to put a piece of shrink tubing over the solder joint to help keep it from corroding.
You should be able to get welding cable and the lugs at any welding shop. Places like Big-R or the equivalent also have lugs.
I have a 6 volt H, and with 2/0 cables it'll turn over as fast an any 12 volt system.
