I just read your reply to the question about younger people with Farmalls. I also have 2 supers - both '53 models - SM -SA. The SA since fall of 1965 and the SM July 2001. My question is about 686. I just purchased a 1978 686 with the 312 diesel. The tractor runs great but after starting and let the tractor run a little I get this sound like the pump is sucking air - but according to the dipstick the unit is full. I had a post on this and one the answers I got was to ad more fluid to see if the would help with the noise. Everything seems to work after the pressure gets built up. I would appreciate any help you could give. James
