It has been over 15 years since I was last at Oshkosh. I recall seeing the guy flying his replica GeeBee racer....the airplane declared a death trap back in the days of the Granville Brothers. Ha! Evidently, this fellow is a lot better pilot or he knows something they didn"t back then. Seems as if the man who built and flew the replica was a farmer from the Midwest. Anyway, he turned that airplane every which way, but inside out. Terrific aircraft, phenomenal pilot. I can only assume the man and his plane continues to show up and wow the crowds.
