A 2ME has a single center chain in the wagon elevator and a 2MH has a double one. The elevator on a 2MH is also painted white and a 2ME is red. Don't know how much they weigh but they are pretty heavy. If it has been sitting outside for some time everything is going to be rusted up. You can still find good shedded machines for scrap price. Sure would be easier to restore. Here's a picture of my 2MH on my Super M.
