jonny-o: You say 1953 or 54, why? The 354898 R1 block was used in all SC 1951 until 54 and SA after serial number 310300. The 354898 R2 same block, just different casting run, was used in all 100 and 200. tractors. Those blocks will all take the sleeves and pistons you currently have.
Then you have 130 and 230 using block part 366204 R1 a direct bolt up you don't have to change anything.
After 1958 you get into engines with fan hub water pump, still not impossible, but will require minor modifications, these include 140, 240, 404 and 340.
