Actually you'll want to check the ENGINE date of manufacture, the door tag tells you when the engine went into the truck - not how long the engine sat around before going in. Other than that I agree, the later 2005 6.0s are better than the 7.3. I wouldn't buy an "early" 6.0 unless the engine has been replaced. Even with reworks they still have problems.
