I have almost got the original steering wheel off my Cub to replace it with a new one. Was the outer part of the steering wheel painted?
It has taken days of using Parts Blaster to loosen the bond of rust. Then a two jaw gear puller was used to get the wheel to start coming off the shaft. Much easier than on my 8N Ford.
Yesterday I finished cleaning and repacking the front wheel bearings. One more place to lube and then the wiring all gets replaced. Soon I can start this fine old tractor.
Many, many thanks for the shared wisdom of this group. You are the best!
