I'll add to the discussion that if the charging voltage listed in the other posts is not happening (Below 7v) at half throttle or better, try this test: With all things connected, battery charged over night, and tractor running, use an alligator equipped jumper wire (12 gauge is OK) to ground the F terminal of the generator. (it will not hurt anything, it causes the gen to put out max) if the voltage (and charge on the amp gauge now are in the range, the regulator is not set high enough. Adjusting them requires some substantial understanding of the parts inside, New works. JimN
