I just picked up a wide front end for my M! I saw it sitting in front of this gentleman's house for some time. Weeds were growing around it. He had a phone number posted out front of his house for his tax service. So, I called him and asked him if it was for sale. Sure-nuff! I've been waiting to pounce on one off e-bay, and here is one less than 2 miles from my home! $450 is pretty much the going rate, but then I didn't have to pay for shipping!
Ok, status! I just got the water jacket plate back on the engine. I'll be mounting the carburetor just as soon as I get some cotter pins for some of the linkages. As soon as the M is running, I'll stand my A-frame hoist onto its wheels using the front loader. It will take the front loader to unload the WFE from my truck. Then, I can use the A-frame hoist to install the Saginaw 3-point on the back of the M, and use the A-frame to lift the M up front for the WFE installation. I'll need an extra spool on my hydraulics for the 3-point.
Once all that is done, I can start gathering parts for live hydraulics, power steering and new hydraulic lines.
STILL I am happy to have gotten a big chunk further in my M project. A WFE! Yeah!
