Congratulations! She looks pretty good and made all the more so with the live hydraulics. I wish mine had that.
Yes, the W-9s are "grunters", and I've had fun with mine in a couple of tractor pulls. As with your area, ours is row-crop country, too, although it must be said that there are three W-9s in our tractor club. Mine gets displayed the most.
They're big and comparatively bulky and IMO a handful doing jockeying work, but they weren't made for that. But, I think the 9 is the easiest tractor to load onto a trailer we have.
The more I actually step back and look at my W-9, the more I appreciate how "right" it looks: good proportions, and it sits square and level. Handsome is what comes to mind.
I have a 3" straight pipe on mine. When it's at shows and I start it up, its bark makes a lot of heads turn and look. Can't put a price on those brief seconds of glory.

Today's Featured Article - Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
