Remove the Battery cable (one of them) Remove the two screws holding down the switch. Look at the copper lug sticking up under the switch. If it is eroded away and pitted, a simple (temporary fix is to use a small rat tail file (or chainsaw file) and elongate the holes to allow the switch to move in the direction that allows the switch contact to be 1/16" closer to the lug. It may need to have a new lug installed (starter shops are equipped to do it, it is not a simple solder job. JimN
