When I mowed some hay with the M (and broke the mower's shear pin) two years ago, the carburetor was adjusted in such a way that the throttle could not be used, and the engine seemed to be running a bit too fast. It has only run once since then, and that was when I adjusted the carburetor to get the throttle to work. Last year, I tried twice to start the M, but I couldn"t get it to run. Before trying to start it, I checked for a spark by disconnecting the coil wire from the distributor cap and putting the end of the wire near one of the clips that hold the distributor cap on. When I turned the fan, it made an orange spark. I tried the same thing today, and this time I got a white spark. Do you think the reason it wouldn"t run was a magneto problem? If it is a problem with the magneto, what should I do about it?
