I just fought a 1466 like this. The innner wedge was stuck...TIGHT!!!! We tried everything short of using the porta-power.
What worked for us was to spin the outer wedge half off of the wheel (it will unscrew completely from the back half). We then used two air chisels with blunt points to "rattle" the stuck wedge. After a few minutes of doing this, the wedge came loose. We had NEVER seen a set as tight as this.
We started out using the U-shaped tool (like the manual stated) and the wedge was so tight it stated to bend the two 7/8" NF bolts that hold the tool halves together.
